Boudoir Art and Photography maybe distinguished from "Fine Art nude Photography" and "erotic Photography and Art". Boudoir" or "Boudoir portrait ART" is
used in my Studio to describe a portrait or picture more elegant than "erotic portrait" or "semi nude portrait", or sexualy explicit portrait Art.
Nudity is more often implied than explicit.
The term "boudoir" may also be ascribed to a "genre" of Art and PHotography. Boudoir Art and Photography is not generally a new concept.
Typically shot in a Artist's or Photographer's studio, a luxury suite, or, through providing your favorite picture to me, the Artist, it has become fashionable to
create a sensual image of women (and occasionally men and couples) in "boudoir style". The most common manifestation of contemporary boudoir Art and
Photography is to take variations of candid and posed Sketches and/or photographs of the subject partly clothed or in lingerie.
Commercially the genre is often derived from a market for brides to surprise their future husbands by gifting the images on their wedding day. Other motivations or inspiration for boudoir photography shoots include anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day, weight loss regimes, maternity, or any other form of body change.
