To Frosty Mornings by PainterArtistFIN
Dogs need to go out, to do their thing and to be fed. Weekday or Holiday, it needs to be done early and first thing upon rising.
Next is checking in with the chickens, geese, turkeys and ducks. Clean hay in their laying boxes, replace the frozen water tubs and if lucky, collect some eggs.
In the meantime, the goats and the sheep become inpatient for their care.
From afar, I check to see if any small fluffy creatures might be moving around the Mommas, no, no new lambs or kids this morning.
Upon coming closer, heading towards the barn, I start counting the adults. If one is missing, maybe they are hiding with a nursing newborn somewhere, most likely inside the barn, I trained them well.
The sheep have no mercy on me and push me between them to try to get to the feed buckets. I tried, as I do every morning, to first toss them some alfalfa and hope that while they are munching on it thatI would have safe passage to their barn but no, another attack is imminent. Another blessed day!
